Attentive, knowledgeable staff. Music outside can be a little loud and club-like, but that and creative landscaping minimizes noise from the nearby highway. Steaks and seafood we're expertly prepared and plated. Inside is quiet, outside is special. A great experience...
Very good food and excellent atmosphere. However the waiter charged us double our amount thank god I pay attention to our statements ! And then after a few calls and not really a call back to confirm the transaction was fixed but I felt it could have been handled a little better. I loved my steak and the wine was a good choice.
Absolutely love this place. Me and my boyfriend eat here at least few times a week since it's so close to home. From steaks to " did you had steak dinner last night? Menu is off the hook! I love their death by patato( has truffle in it ☺️) to their wide selection of wines and cocktails. I don't think we ever been disappointed. Review way overdue. Thumbs up P.S Dario is the best waiter. Ask for him if you choose to go here!
The dry rubbed ribeye is delicious!!!!! So is their stuffed mushrooms and steak and potatoes app. Great food, great music, great service and environment.
Steaks cooked to perfection and served by pro's. I was attending a Christmas lunch for our team of 25 from a local corporation. The affair started with 3 different apps: lump crab meat, gnocchi and fried calamari. Meals were served without a hitch. The sides were excellent as well, served family style (French fries, Mac & cheese and awesome sauteed mushrooms). Desert choices were brownies and nutella chocolate chip cookies with ice cream. I've eaten at Char before and was very happy to eat there again. Char is definitely one of the best restaurants in NJ.
